Dr. Aatifa Khan is a lifelong Maryland resident and proud dentist serving the Millersville, Crofton, Gambrills, Severna Park, Annapolis, Pasadena, Odenton communities and more.
She founded Smile Rx Dental in Bowie, MD in 2012 with one vision: to deliver gentle, holistic dental care rooted in trust and long-term relationships.

After more than a decade of success in Bowie, Dr. Khan has expanded her patient-first philosophy to a second location in Millersville, MD, bringing the same compassionate, high-quality care closer to families across Anne Arundel County.

Experience, Training & Approach

Dr. Khan graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology, then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2007.
With over 16 years of clinical experience, she provides comprehensive dental care for adults and children—including preventive, cosmetic, restorative, orthodontic, and implant treatments.

Her approach is both modern and holistic. She invests in advanced technology and continuing education to stay current on techniques that improve patient comfort and long-term oral health. Patients appreciate her gentle touch, honesty, and ability to make every visit stress-free.
